DUBUQUE (KWWL) -
More than 300 people danced the day away on Saturday at Loras College in Dubuque. It was a part of the 9th Loras College Dance Marathon, an event which is associated with the Children's Miracle Network and raises money for the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
The dance marathon lasts a total of 12 hours. During that time dancers dance the night away and celebrate their year-long efforts to fundraise, recruit, organize the event and continued support for miracle families.
"Dancing has been a blast. Dancing with all of our kids and having everyone come together for one cause, it's just great," Brie Pumilia, a member of the Loras College Dance Marathon said.
This year the organization achieved a new record-setting total of $201,177.35 in donations. To find out more about the Loras College Dance Marathon CLICK HERE.
