Fighting Saints fall 4-1 in series opener

Posted: Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS (KWWL) - Robby Darrar scored first, but it was all the Dubuque Fighting Saints could muster as they fell 4-1 in the opening game on the Eastern Conference Finals.
After Darrar's first period tally, the Indiana Ice picked up a pair of power play goals, and then scored twice in the third period to put away the opening game.
Defensively, the Ice held the Fighting Saints to just 4 3rd period shots, while out shooting Dubuque 28-23 in the game.
Game 2 is set for 7:05 PM on Saturday night in Indiana.
