Boys & Girls Club to host 6th annual Harley Party

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) - The Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley will host its annual Harley Party Friday night at the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes dinner, live entertainment by Redline and both silent and live auctions. One person will also have the chance to win a brand new Harley Davidson.

Funds raised will help sponsor kids to attend summer camp and help provide after-school programs, such as the Power Hour homework help program, arts and crafts, sports and fitness, SMART Moves and Youth of the Year.
"Our Clubs are making a difference in the community," said Chuck Rowe, Chief Executive Officer for the Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley.  "Last year, our local Clubs served over 700 youth.  But there are still many more children in our community that need the kind of positive influence and guidance the Clubs provide, and we want to reach out to these youth and their families."

The Boys & Girls Clubs' mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley is a non-profit, privately-funded 501(c)3 organization and depends on private donations and volunteers to accomplish its mission. To make a donation or to volunteer, contact the Boys & Girls Club office at (319) 234-2839 or visit
