UPDATE: Two more teens arrested in Waterloo gun trafficking case

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Two more teens have been arrested in connection with a burglary and gun trafficking case in which four teens and an adult were arrested earlier in the week.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers were called to a home in the 4500 block of William Drive on Monday for a reported burglary. Pillack says 28 guns, jewelry, shoes and video games were taken. 

Police have now arrested a 14-year old boy, a 15-year-old girl, two 15-year old boys, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year old boy along with 26-year old Darrius Deshon Redd.

Pillack says the teens traded the guns to Redd for money and drugs.

The four boys and the 16-year-old girl are charged with first degree theft, second degree burglary and trafficking in stolen weapons. The 15-year-old girl is charged with first degree theft and second degree burglary.

Redd is charged with nine counts of trafficking in stolen weapons and nine counts of possession of weapons as a felon.

Captain Tim Pillack says some of the weapons, jewelry and video games that were taken in the burglary have been recovered.
