IOWA CITY (KWWL) - Iowa City police are looking for a man they say robbed the Romantix adult store in the 300 block of Kirkwood Avenue Tuesday night.

Police say a man walked into the store just before 11 p.m., threatened the woman working behind the counter and demanded she give him money. They say that when the employee stepped away from the suspect, he grabbed cash from the register and ran.

The employee was not injured and she tells police that the man did not show a weapon.

The suspect is described as a thin white man standing 6 foot 1 inch tall. He is believed to have been wearing a navy blue or dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored shorts, sneakers and a ball-cap.

You are urged to call CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477) if you have any information. You could be eligible for up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.
