KWWL Anti-Bullying Rally: "Raw, Real, Powerful"

Posted: Updated:
"Let's go tuck our baby in one last time."

That line sent chills down the spines of thousands who packed theaters two years ago to watch "Bully." Kirk Smalley and his wife Laura were walking into a funeral home to say their final goodbyes to their 11-year-old son Ty. Ty killed himself in his parents' bedroom after dealing with years of relentless bullying.

Kirk shares his story and "Stand for the Silent" message around the world. And for the second time in six months, KWWL is bringing Kirk back to the Cedar Valley for a community-wide rally.

KWWL's Amanda Goodman describes Kirk's message with three words: raw, real, powerful. "Trust me, what Kirk has to say will shake you to your core. I think everyone should hear what he has to will open your eyes and forever change the way you look at bullying and how to stop it. Trust me," said Goodman.

The anti-bullying rally featuring Kirk Smalley is free and open to the public.
