Man accused of making meth in hospital parking lot

One man is accused of making methamphetamine outside a Cedar Rapids hospital.

Authorities say they found Rodney Schneider and other person in a car in the Saint Luke's Hospital's parking ramp Wednesday around 9 p.m.

Schneider was arrested for violation of a no-contact order, but as officers towed the car, police say they found ingredients to make methamphetamine and syringes.

Schneider will face charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine precursors.
