Cedar Falls woman remembers Boston Marathon bombing

Posted: Updated:
CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - The Boston Marathon bombing hit close to home for a handful of Iowans.

While Iowans returned home safely, it was still tough for many of them to watch the chaos unfold.

Brooke Krantz of Cedar Falls had just crossed the finish line moments before the pressure cooker bombs exploded.

She said she went to a family meeting area to find her boyfriend when she heard loud explosions.

"It took us awhile to figure out exactly what was going on," Krantz said.

She said when they started seeing people's reactions and all the chaos, they knew it wasn't good.

"Your hearts are breaking for people that lost loved ones and all the injuries," she said.

Krantz said she'd like to run the Boston Marathon again so she can have more positive memories of the race.
