Columbus High students plan Veterans appreciation event

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) - AP European History students at Columbus High School are planning an event to honor veterans. The event comes after students from the class traveled to Europe and visited museums, landmarks and battlefields from both World War 1 and World War 2.

The event is meant to honor veterans as well as share the students experiences from the trip.

The event is planned for April 27 at the Columbus High School Gym starting at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Students invite community members as well as veterans to come to the event.
