Family hosts March of Dimes fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - Brooke and Shaun McMorris understand the value of the March of Dimes organization after their son was born at just 26 weeks gestation.

Carter, now two years old, weighed 1 lb, 6.4 oz. when he was born; he was 12.5 inches long.

Additionally, Brooke McMorris was diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening condition called HELLP Syndrome.

She spent 30 days in the hospital while her son spent more than 100 days in the NICU.

The McMorris family credits the March of Dimes for helping save both their lives.

Now the McMorris family is serving as an Ambassador family for the March of Dimes. The family is hoping to raise money for the organization, and it's hosting a fundraiser all day on Wednesday, April 16th at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cedar Falls.

When diners present this ticket, 10 percent of pre-taxed food sales will go directly to the March of Dimes.

"We are honored to be serving as the Cedar Valley March for Babies Ambassador Family, and to give back to an organization that helped save both our lives," said McMorris.
