CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

Kids of all ages learned how to create a peaceful world in Coralville.

The Iowa Children's Museum devoted Sunday as Peace Day, presenting active and hands-on learning activities and games to help young kids learn about non-violent strategies to daily challenges like bullying.

The kids were shopping for peace, feeling for peace and learned how to walk in a maze and still walk out in peace.

Diana Henry is one of the organizers. She says it all starts as a child.

“We need to learn at a very early age about different ways that we can stem violence,” said Henry. “In our houses within ourselves, within our communities, so this is a way kids can learn to do this at a very early age.”

About two dozen students from Iowa City-area schools volunteered and helped the younger kids know the importance of making the world a better place.
