Waterloo Taekwondo Club sends 22 to Junior Olympics

Master Dennis Jensen the leader of Ultimate Taekwondo in Waterloo is quick to point out his club doesn't have a limitless budget because most of the kids he trains come from households with very modest incomes.  But Jensen says his athletes work hard...and that hard work paid off last month.. Jensen members won 10 gold medals at the State AAU competition in March with 22 Ultimate Taekwondo members qualifying to compete in the Junior Olympics later this summer.
Master Jensen says his club doesn't put a  emphasis on winning every competition---but it is important that his members set goals---and then work to attain them.
Jensen says the greatest purpose of Ultimate Taekwondo is to develop well rounded young people.

The Junior Olympics are July 25th in Des Moines.
