Pedestrian killed along Highway 20 in Dubuque County

FARLEY (KWWL) - One person is dead after sheriff's deputies say drunk driver hit a person walking along Highway 20 in Dubuque County.  It happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday at the Highway 20 exit at Farley.  Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Alex Hannan of Dubuque was merging onto Highway 20 eastbound from the on-ramp when he struck someone walking along the highway.  They say the person, a resident of Dubuque County, died as a result of the injuries received in the incident.  The person's name has not been released pending notification of family.  Hannan was not hurt.  He is charged with First Offense Driving While Intoxicated and is in the Dubuque County Jail.
