Police officers investigate unattended death in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating an unattended death.

Just after 4:30 Friday afternoon, the police department was called for a welfare check at Shamrock Apartments on Jacolyn Drive Southwest.

At the apartment unit, officers found an adult woman dead. Her name hasn't been released.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating the cause of this unattended death.
