CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - The University of Northern Iowa issued a crime alert Monday night about a sexual assault in a dormitory early Sunday morning.

UNI Police received a report of a sexual assault that happened at Bender Residence Hall between 12:15 and 2 a.m. Sunday, March 30, according to a "crime alert" email sent out by University Relations.

Police say the suspects were two males wearing black jackets but gave no further description.

The university is required to keep and disclose information about crime on and near campus as part of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
