IRGC to visit site proposed for Cedar Crossing casino

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission will visit Cedar Rapids Thursday to see the proposed site for the Cedar Crossing casino. Commissioners will visit the site at 8:30 a.m.

The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance encourages those in favor of the casino to meet outside the Double Tree Hotel in Cedar Rapids at 9 a.m. The alliance asks supporters to wear white t-shirts, and Cedar Crossing lapel pins will be distributed at the event.

Public comment will begin at the Double Tree at 10 a.m.

Commissioners will make the final decision on whether it will issue a Cedar Rapids casino license on April 17.
