PARKERSBURG (KWWL) - School officials confirm a car hit a northeast Iowa school bus Friday afternoon, but no one was injured in the crash.

Aplington-Parkersburg superintendent Jon Thompson confirmed a car "didn't stop and hit the side of the bus" around 3:15 p.m. Friday.

Thompson said a soccer coach was driving a bus from Parkersburg to the Western Outreach Center at Hawkeye Community College where the team practices.

Another bus along the way picked up the students and took them to practice.

"Everybody is happy," Thompson said.

The bus will have to be towed, he said.

KWWL viewers told us they saw the bus in Grundy County.

There was no information on the driver of the car.
