MARQUETTE (KWWL) -

A fundraiser breakfast on Thurs., April 10 will help raise money for the victims displaced from their homes in the devastating Marquette fire on St. Patrick's Day.

Lady Luck Casino in Marquette will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thurs., April 10 in its buffet. The cost is $5.00 per person, and all the proceeds will go to Friends Helping Friends, which will distribute the funds to fire victims.

Already, Community Aces of Lady Luck Casino Marquette donated $500 to Friends Helping Friends for the victims, but losses for several Marquette families were devastating, and every dollar counts in helping them rebuild their lives.

In the early hours of March 17, the old Marquette Hardware Building caught fire, quickly spreading to adjacent buildings. Two of the four apartments in the Hardware Building were occupied at the time, as well as the duplex behind the building, which burned to the ground. Incredibly, nobody was injured. The single family home adjacent to the Hardware Building burned to the ground as well. The family was out of town.
