UPDATE: Autopsy reveals no foul play in Waterloo woman's death

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Police now say no foul play is suspected in the death of a woman whose body was found in an industrial area in Waterloo.

The body of Sharon Creighton, 53, of Waterloo, was found on the ground at 907 Ricker St. on Sunday.

Creighton's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.

Autopsy results released Monday afternoon, along with results from a preliminary investigation by Waterloo Police, indicate no signs of foul play, according to Capt. Tim Pillack.

Pillack told KWWL that it also did not appear to be a suicide.



Police in Waterloo are investigating a suspicious death.

The body of 53-year-old Sharon Creighton was found around 2 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Ricker Street.

Police say she was reported missing early Sunday morning.

Her body was found near wooden pallets in an industrial area.

Investigators are looking into the cause of death. The State Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy.
