The Iowa State Cyclones couldn't give their home crowd of nearly 7,000 a victory in the first round of the women's NCAA tournament as they were upset by the Florida State Seminoles 55-44.
Tenth seeded Florida State's defense held the Cyclones to a season low on offense in terms of points (44), field goals (15), and field goal percentage (25.4%). They also forced 19 turnovers.
Florida State never trailed in this game and out rebounded the Cyclones 44-30. Senior Hallie Christofferson led the Cyclones with 13 points, Brynn Williamson pitched in 12 on four three pointers and freshman Jadda Buckley added 10.
The Cyclones finish the season 20-11.
