Rural Coggon man dies after falling off grain trailer

BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Coggon man died on Monday after falling off of a grain trailer.

The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office says they were called to 3325 330th Street at around 2:15 p.m. Monday for a report of a man who was unresponsive after falling.

Deputy Cory Hartman says 75-year-old Donald Reilly was walking on top of a grain trailer when he fell to the ground.

Reilly was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids before being transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
