DES MOINES (KWWL) -

The Iowa City West Trojans made history on Saturday night becoming the 1st class 4A program in history to win 3 consecutive state titles. The Trojans defeated West Des Moines Valley 57-45 to accomplish the feat.

UNI recruit Wyatt Lohaus, who has been part of all 3, was one of four Trojans to finish with 13 points.  The rest of that balanced attack came from David DiLeo, Nick Gallagher and Chike Ukah.

West high head coach Steve Bergman became just the third head coach in Iowa history to win five or more state championships.
