Anamosa woman injured in Linn County accident

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says an Anamosa woman was injured Thursday afternoon when the car she was a passenger in was rear ended.

Sergeant Tim Payne says 17-year-old Krystine Capron of Anamosa was headed west on Highway 151, just east of Carlton Lane, was rear ended by another car driven by 36-year-old Jean Milburn of Marion.

Payne says 18-year-old Destiny Ahrendsen of Anamosa, a passenger in Capron's car, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Milburn was charged with failure to stop within a safe and assured distance.

The accident remains under investigation.
