Inmate dies of natural causes at Coralville

CORALVILLE (AP) -

An Iowa inmate has died of natural causes due to complications from colon cancer.

The state Department of Corrections says 69-year-old Allen Lee Hall died Sunday in the hospice care unit of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville.

Hall was serving a life sentence for a first-degree murder conviction out of Jasper County. He began his sentence in August 1972.
