WATERLOO (KWWL) - Have you ever wondered what 40,000 pounds of macaroni and cheese looks like?

Well, now the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo has the answer.

Land O'Lakes, Inc. donated the mac and cheese as part of its "first run project," which started in 2010.

This was the first donation from Land O'Lakes to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, and was a surprise to the directors.

"It's one of those donations that came out of the blue to us, so we are very grateful for it," said Barbara Prather, executive director of the Food Bank. "It's the first donation Land O'Lakes have given us, in terms of food donations, and it will go to provide lots of food to pantries and organizations in Northeast Iowa."
