U. of Iowa looking for sexual assault advisory committee members

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) - The University of Iowa is looking for students to be on Sally Mason's advisory committee on sexual assault.

The committee will provide input on campus procedures, policies, and practices related to sexual assault.

The committee is part of Mason's Six Point Plan to Combat Sexual Assault. Mason announced the plan following a campus listening session on sexual misconduct.

That came after students criticized comments Mason made about assault being "human nature."

All current students are eligible for the committee. Applications are due by Monday, March 17.
