Four people are in custody after a vehicle pursuit in Waterloo.
It happened just after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 9th. The Waterloo Police Department said officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Fairchild Street and Helmet Avenue for an investigation and multiple traffic violations.
The vehicle eventually pulled over. A search of the vehicle recovered a loaded .45 caliber semi-auto handgun. Several suspects were detained and taken into custody.
20-year-old Kalon Deon Bruce was charged with carrying weapons and interference with official acts involving a firearm, a class D felony.
22-year-old Cameron Douglas Winters was charged with Operating while intoxicated 1st offense and eluding.
20-year-old James Edward Horton and 21-year-old Marshondus Trenedale Brown were charged with interference with official acts.
All suspects live in Waterloo and were booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
