UPDATE: Tripoli drinking water advisory lifted

Posted: Updated:
TRIPOLI (KWWL) - The Bremer County Emergency Management Agency says the City of Tripoli has lifted a drinking water advisory put in place last week.

City officials issued the advisory after a "weather-related problem in the distribution system."

Residents of Tripoli were advised to boil their tap water before drinking it, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food.

The advisory, which began Friday afternoon, was lifted at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
