Hawkeye women beat Illinois in first round of Big Ten Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS (KWWL) -

The fifth-seeded Iowa Hawkeye women beat Illinois for the second time in five days 81-62 to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Hawkeyes were led by Bethany Doolittle with a career-high 26 points.

The Hawks will play fourth-seeded Purdue on Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
