DES MOINES (AP) -

Six people were taken into custody Tuesday in connection to an investigation into the sale of synthetic marijuana.

Des Moines Police say more people will be arrested in connection to the case.

The Des Moines Police Narcotics unit has been investigating several locations in the area that they believe were involved in the selling of synthetic marijuana, including homes and stores.

Authorities say they were recording an increase of people suffering symptoms after smoking or ingesting the substances.

The six people in custody face several charges, including possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.
