JASPER COUNTY (KWWL) -

Thirty-one years after her estranged husband's murder, an Iowa woman has been arrested and charged with murder.

On Monday, Jasper County officials say Terri Supino was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The announcement comes 31 years to the day after the bodies of Steven Fisher and his girlfriend, Melisa Gregory, were found beaten to death.

On March 3, 1983, the two bodies were found on the Copper Dollar Ranch, located just northwest of Newton.

Fisher had worked at the ranch and was in the process of divorcing Supino.

Supino and Fisher had two children. However, Fisher had been dating Gregory for a few months.

A few years ago, Supino announced that she was writing a book about her theories on how the couple was killed.
