IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Roy Devin Marble scored 21 points as Iowa held off a strong charge to beat Purdue 83-76 on Saturday afternoon.  The win snapped the Hawkeyes 3 game losing streak.

Aaron White and Mike Gesell each added 15 points for Iowa (20-9, 9-7 Big Ten), as the Hawks recorded a 20 win season for the first time in eight years.

Iowa ended the first half on a 15-5 run and took a 13 point advantage in to halftime.  The Boilermakers, however, put together a big run of their own, eventually taking a 64-60 lead midway through the second half.  Iowa responded with an 8-0 run of their own to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
