Dubuque Police investigating report of shots fired

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque Police are investigating a report of shots fired Thursday night near an apartment complex on the city's west side.

Officers were called to an apartment complex at 1600 Butterfield Drive after a report of shots fired at around 10 p.m. Thursday evening, according to the Dubuque Police Department.

Several shell casings were found near the front entrance of the complex, but there were no indications of injuries or damage to the property, according to police.

Dubuque Police said they are following up on leads.

No arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon.
