Frozen pipes to homes brings up tick to portable toilet rentals

Posted: Updated:
GRUNDY CENTER (KWWL) -

The water issues across Eastern Iowa have actually created an up tick in portable toilet rentals.

Cooley Pumping & Paul's Potties out of Grundy Center says normally February is a slowest month of the year for toilet rentals.

This month brought more rentals to commercial businesses and even homes.

They say just this week they went to 40 to 50 locations needing toilets.

"The month of February like I said is the slowest month for portable toilet use just because it is so cold but like right now we want them out just as bad as anything. We want the weather to warm up but at the same point you know we got to go where the calls are," said Brian Hall, operations manager.

The owner of Paul's Potties says out of his 16 years in business, this is the worst winter they've worked through.
