Gov. Branstad will attend the Black Hawk County Connected Community Certification Event Thursday morning in Cedar Falls.
The Black Hawk County Technology Team and Connect Iowa invite the community to celebrate the completion and presentation of the county's Technology Action Plan and the official status as a certified Connected community.
The Black Hawk County Technology Team has been working with Connect Iowa through the Connected Community Engagement Program to assess the local broadband landscape. It's worked to find gaps and establish goals to increase broadband access, adoption and use for families, organizations and businesses in Black Hawk County.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at Cedar Falls Utilities, located at 1 Utility Parkway in Cedar Falls.
