Hudson girls reach state with 45-32 win over North Butler

PARKERSBURG (KWWL) -

Casey Miles led the way with 17 points as Hudson defeated North Butler 45-32 to reach the state tournament.  The Pirates will make the trip to Des Moines for the first time since 2003.

Hudson's defense set the tone in the first half.  Setting up in a 2-3 zone the Pirates held the Bearcats to just 11 first half points and would lead by 14 at the break.  North Butler managed to get no closer than 8 the rest of the way.

 

Hudson 45, North Butler 32

NORTH BUTLER (19-2) - Jennifer Rottler 2-9 0-0 5, Marisa Speedy 3-8 2-2 11, Kenzie Siemens 3-8 0-0 6, Lisa Feldman 2-12 1-2 5, Emily Dolan 1-7 0-1 2, Channing Wunsch 1-3 0-0 2, Haley Landers 0-0 1-2 1. Totals 12-36 4-7 32.
