IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Another University of Iowa student has reported a sexual assault.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (http://icp-c.com/1c0ZeMD ) that the student told university staffers on Thursday that she was assaulted at an off-campus fraternity house on Feb. 15.

On Friday the university police issued a "timely warning" about the attack.

It was the ninth such warning issued by UI police since August. The warnings are issued as part of the university's compliance with federal Clery Act, which requires colleges to keep and report statistics on crimes in and around campus.

The woman has asked police to not investigate the sexual assault.

Iowa President Sally Mason has come under fire recently for comments she made to The Daily Iowan suggesting that sexual assault may not be able to be stopped because it is human nature.

"The goal would be to end that, to never have another sexual assault," Mason told the newspaper last month. "That’s probably not a realistic goal just given human nature, and that’s unfortunate, but the more we understand about it, the better we are at trying to handle it and help people get through these difficult situations."

Mason was protested Sunday by a group of students and alumni for her comments.
