CORALVILLE (KWWL) -
Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Coralville, the world leader in oligonucleotide synthesis, participated in the Experience Iowa Technology (EIT) program Friday through the Technology Association of Iowa.

The program's goal is to keep Iowa's best technology students in the state by introducing them to premier, local companies.

EIT students will tour the featured companies to see the application of their technology education in real world settings.

"IDT is excited to contribute to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in the state of Iowa and this is a great way to continue to support our state and our local community," said Aaron R. Warner, Chief Information Officer for IDT.

As one of the featured companies, IDT will provide a tour to over 40 participating students, providing them with information on the technology opportunities throughout the company. These range from management information and software development to biotechnology and chemistry.

The tour of IDT took place Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
