MARION (KWWL) - One person was injured Tuesday morning after a Linn-Mar school bus and two cars collided at the intersection of Highways 13 and 151.

Chief Harry Daugherty with the Marion Police Department says officers were called to the intersection at around 7:08 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers say the bus driver, 64-year-old Leslie Beltz, was ticketed for failure to yield while making a lefthand turn.

Sandie Rohrer, Communications Coordinator for the Linn-Mar Community School District, says the bus driver took the turn too wide.

No one else was on the bus at the time of the crash.

A driver of one of the other cars, 64-year-old Joseph Strahan, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Marion Fire and Area Ambulance assisted at the scene.
