A 76-year-old Hawkeye woman was injured Tuesday morning when the van she was a passenger in hit a landscaping boulder.

Deputy Tony Meyer says 77-year-old Milton Monroe Jones, of Hawkeye, was headed south on Raymond Road at around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday when he had to swerve to miss a northbound vehicle that was traveling in the southbound lane near 2609 N. Raymond Road.

Meyer says Jones' vehicle went into the ditch and hit a landscaping boulder before stopping in the driveway of 2609 N. Raymond Road.
