Waterloo police seize drugs and guns from Randolph Street home

The Waterloo Police Department says they seized drugs and guns from a home on Randolph Street Monday night.

Sergeant Matt McGeough says officers with the Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at 2621 Randolph Street at around 11:18 p.m. Monday following an investigation by the Violent Crime Apprehension Team.

Officers seized a quantity of ecstasy pills, a 9 mm semi-auto handgun, a .38 caliber special revolver and ammunition.

McGeough says officers arrested 26-year-old Malcolm Reshaad Leflore and 25-year-old Teshia Smith.

Leflore faces multiple charges including felon in possession of a firearm, interference with official acts involving a firearm, possession with intent to deliver ecstasy and a drug tax stamp violation. He was also wanted on several probation violation warrants and a warrant for failure to appear.

Smith is charged with aiding/abetting a felon in possession of a firearm.
