Iowa City Police say they are investigating three sexual assaults involving women who were passengers in taxicabs.

The first happened Jan. 15 when a woman said the taxi driver made unwanted sexual advances toward her.

She got away and called police.

A second happened 10 days later when a cab driver pulled off the road and made unwanted sexual advances toward another woman.

She also got away and called police.

The latest incident happened at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

She was able to get away and call police.

Police say they think a previous passenger who left the cab between 11:30 p.m. and Midnight near Iowa and Dodge Streets may be able to help identify the driver.

Police say the suspect in the first two incidents is described as a middle-aged non-white male.  The suspect in the latest case is described as a non-white male.
