Winter Storm Warning issued for parts of NE IA; Several inches of snow expected

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for parts of northeast Iowa.

Areas included in the warning include Charles City, New Hampton, Cresco, Decorah, Oelwein, West Union, Waukon, Elkader, Guttenberg, and Prairie du Chien, Wis.

Snowfall totals of 4-6" are expected in those areas.

The rest of eastern Iowa is under a Winter Weather Advisory Monday with lesser amounts of snow expected.
