WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Team KWWL was victorious in this year's Girl Scout Cookie Eating Contest!

Danielle Wagner and Denice Pelster ate a combined 15 cookies in 45 seconds.

Andrew Robinson and Ryan Dabney with Cedar Valley Charge, a new minor league football team in the area, ate a combined 11 cookies.

We owe a huge thanks to Stephanie Thoma with the Girls Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois for timing the competition and for providing the cookies.

Thanks to Andrew (Dru) and Ryan for taking the time to compete this year!

Cookies sales begin Saturday, February 8th and run through March 16th. Cookies are $3.50 per box. You're also encouraged to buy a box of cookies for the Troop 2 Troop program. With that, a box of cookies will be sent to our military men and women serving overseas.

You can contact the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois at 319-232-6601.
