BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) - The Iowa State Patrol says a Denver woman was injured Wednesday morning after she lost control on an icy Highway 63.

Troopers say 21-year-old Sydney M. Hawk was headed south on Highway 63, just south of Gresham Road, when she lost control on the ice causing her minivan to rollover, go into the median, cross both northbound lanes and eventually come to rest on the shoulder.

Hawk was taken to Allen Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Troopers say she was wearing her seatbelt.
