One person dies in snowmobile accident in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

One person is dead after a snowmobile accident in Jackson County.

It happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Highway 64 and 484th Avenue, that's near the city of Miles.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, the driver lost control of the snowmobile and hit a large snow pile. The driver was then thrown from the snowmobile and hit a large pole.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name hasn't been released yet.
