Gabriel Olaseni scored 15 and grabbed 12 boards off the bench as Iowa held off Illinois 81-74. The win snapped Iowa's 11 game losing streak in Champaign, dating back to 1999.
Iowa opened the first half on a 34-13 run and appeared to be on their way to a blowout victory. Illinois, however, rallied to pull within 4 and even held a 5 point lead in the second half. The Hawkeyes would finish strong down the stretch.
Roy Devyn Marble led the way for Iowa with 17 points.
