Snowfall brought dogs, owners to dog park

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Although most areas saw a few inches of snow Friday night into Saturday morning, it didn't stop the four-legged friends from hitting the off-leash dog park in Iowa City.

The dogs and their owners took full advantage and the snow didn't stand a chance.

"No, no, not at all," said dog owner Brian Bradley. "The dogs love the snow. There's got to be at least one other dog here and my dog's happy."

Bradley says he brings his dog out every weekend, but for some reason the snow just adds to the fun.

Diane Hayes brought all four of her dogs to have a blast too.

"They were going stir crazy inside, so they needed some fresh air," said Hayes. "They are having a blast, running and playing with the other dogs here at the dog park."

Dog owners tell us it's usually pretty busy on snow days, sometimes even more than on a clear day.
