LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -
For the first time in recent years North Linn and Central City school district voters were able to watch basketball and go vote. Both schools were having a Physical Plant Equipment Levy (PPEL) vote and were playing at North Linn high school, making it convenient for area voters. Linn County Auditor Joel Miller said he hoped people would take advantage of this convenient polling location. He also said the purpose of early voting is to accommodate people who are unavailable on voting day and in preparation of potential winter weather. Schools depend on the PPEL to maintain buildings and their equipment. Voting will reopen on Tuesday with three locations in the North Linn district and one in the Central City district.
