WATERLOO (KWWL) -

For the past 12 years P.K. O'Handley has built the Waterloo Black hawks into a franchise the Cedar Valley can be proud of.

So today-- the City of Waterloo honored the coach.

Waterloo Mayor Buck Clark proclaimed this Friday--- P. K. O'Handley day in honor of the Black Hawks head coach.

Two weeks ago-- O'Handley became the winningest coach in the history of the USHL and currently the Black Hawks have a 13 game winning streak--the longest in franchise history.

P-K says he is overwhelmed by the recognition.

Black Hawk defenseman Brandon Montour earned USHL co-defenseman of the week honors-- its the sixth straight week Waterloo has won a league award.
